These small sharks can only be found along the continental shelf between southern Brazil and northern Argentina.

The first shark in our underrated chondrichthyans spotlight has the coolest ‘tips’ of them all – the silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus).

Last year, the Rosette River Ray (Potamotrgon schroederi) was featured for its ability to live in freshwater. Back again is another member of the genus Potamotrygon, the marbled whip ray (Fluvitrygon oxyrhynchus).
