College is different for every person, even if they are in the same field. The #ASKTFUI series follows our officers who are in college, have recently graduated, or are in graduate school answer some questions regarding organization.
Name: Carissa Thiel
Education: Works at Arrowhead Ranch Outdoor Science School
How do you start your day?
My college days started with coffee and a bike ride to class (YAY Florida).
What is the best way to stay organized on a tight schedule?
I utilized an intense planner and wall calendar combo to stay organized.
What is one organizational item can you not live without?
What do you do to stay focused on your work (i.e. what distractions do you get rid of)?
I didn't use my TV in my room and that helped limit distractions a lot.
What apps or programs do you use to stay on task?
What is your advice to someone still in high school?
My advice would be to not stress, but get started early. I finished a lot of college work before the deadline and never had to stress over an all-nighter.
